BLAIR MAN FOUND DEAD IN CAR ON KANSAS HIGHWAY

Found Dead In His Car Near Hayes, Kansas. On Way to Liberal

Word reached Blair Wednesday evening of the death of Harry Jordan of Blair. He was found dead in his car which had been pulled to the side of the road near Hayes, Kansas. Apparently he had become ill and had pulled his car to the side of the road to rest.

Harry was construction foreman for an Omaha construction company and left Omaha on Tuesday for Liberal, Kansas on business. He had told his superior officers that he would call them as soon as he reached his destination. When after waiting for several hours and no word, the company began to search and reports came in of his death.

He had been in construction work for approximately 20 years and was a valuable man in the work.

At his death he was 45 years of age. He was married to Miss Inez Lamberts on June 14, 1931 and in 1936 they came to Blair where they have since resided.

He leaves to mourn him his wife and two daughters, Helen, 14, and Norma Jean, 4 years, besides his father-in-law, W. J. Lamberts and three brothers and one sister. A peculiar coincidence of this sad affair and which bears heavily on the bereaved wife was the fact that three years previous, to the day, her brother, Allen Lamberts, lost his life overseas.

Funeral rites will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Methodist church with Rev. Sidney L. McCaig officiating, and interment under the auspices of the Campbell Mortuary will be made in the Blair cemetery.
