FORMER ARLINGTONITE DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Wilfred L. Gilfry Killed By Freight Train

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Osterman received a Pataluma, California newspaper in which was an account of the death of Wilfred L. Gilfry, 47, of Pataluma. Mr. Gilfry, who was an operator of a welding company at Marin Meadows near Pataluma was killed by a Northwestern Pacific freight train which hit his car while he was driving into the plant at 7:00 o’clock Monday morning, August 11. Mr. Gilfry was killed outright and his car completely demolished. Mr. Gilfry was born in Arlington, and at the age of 14 moved with his parents to Snyder, Colorado. He is a cousin to Rhea and Floyd Gilfry, both of Arlington. He is survived by a wife and three children and burial was in Pataluma.
