On Wednesday last, June 26, at his home in Blair, occured the death of Nielsen Jakobsen, who was born in Denmark, February 15, 1876.

He came to America in 1883 and was a continuance resident in Washington county from that time until his death. He leaves a widow, a daughter, Mrs. Niels Jensen, of Kennard, and three grandchildren.

The funeral occured at the Danish Lutheran church on Friday last, at 4 o'clock p.m., conducted by the Rev. A.M. Andersen, the regular minister being absent from town.

Nielsen Jakobsen was one of our substantial Danish citizens, a pioneer and highly respected by all who knew him.
