JAY C. BLACKBURN DIES OF HEART ATTACK

Jay C. Blackburn, native of this county and an early resident of Arlington, died Tuesday morning at his home in Arlington following a heart attack. He had been ailing since before Thanksgiving.

Deceased was born in Fontanelle and was sixty eight years of age at his death. His parents were pioneers of Nebraska. After the town of Arlington was founded the father, Joe Blackburn, moved there and went into the implement business which he followed until his death. For a number of years the deceased was in the business with his father and continued the business for some years after the father’s death.

In 1905 he was married to Miss Anna Miller, sister of George Miller of Blair. To them two children were born, a son who passed away six years ago and a daughter, Mrs. Russell Gibson of Lincoln.

The wife and daughter and two grandsons, Bobby and Ronnie, are the survivors of the immediate family.

Funeral services services will be held on Friday afternoon, and interment will be made in the Arlington cemetery.
