MRS. OTTO HANSEN

Mrs. Otto Hansen, aged 88 years, 6 months and 20 days died January 21st at her home on North 3rd Street in Blair.

She was born in Denmark where she spent her early childhood, coming to this country when but a child. After landing in America she came to Council Bluffs, Iowa where she was employed for a number of years.

On May 23, 1890 she was married to Otto Hansen of Admah, Nebraska. She was the second wife, the first passing away and leaving a family of small children, and she mothered them as tenderly as though they were her own.

One child, Mrs. Albert Schjodt, was born to this second union, and these all with the grandchildren mourn deeply her death. The husband passed on several years ago.

To those who knew Mrs. Hansen, her death will be counted as a direct and irretrievable loss and her place among her old friends will be hard to fill. She was a consistent Christian and led a life that was irreproachable and had the respect of all.

Funeral services are being held this Thursday afternoon at two o’clock from the First Danish church, and interment will be made in the Blair cemetery.
