GEO. MICHAELEN DIES OF BURNS AFTER EXPLOSION

Victim Of Explosion Succumbs In Omaha Hospital

George Michelsen of DeSoto died Saturday morning at 4 o’clock in an Omaha hospital. He had suffered severe burns last Wednesday when his home was destroyed by fire and his clothing caught on fire which resulted in his death.

Deceased was born at DeSoto January 1, 1874. He grew to manhood there and lived there his entire life. He was married, but years ago the wife passed away. They had no children and George lived alone on the farm.

He leaves to mourn him a brother, Harry, and a sister, Mrs. Bert Mathews of Omaha, another sister, Mrs. Henry Matthews of Walthill, besides several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held on Monday at 2:30 p.m. from the Campbell Mortuary with Rev. Sidney L. McCaig officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
