MRS. JENS CLAUSEN DIES IN OMAHA

Amelia Mikkelsen was born in Emb on the Mors Island in Denmark December 14, 1871, and died February 10, 1942 at the Immanuel Deaconess Home for the Aged in Omaha.

In 1892, she immigrated to this country and was married the following year to Jens Clausen.

Five children were born to them: Dorothy, Mrs. Henricksen of Fremont, Nebraska; Ellen, Mrs. H.L. Johnson of Boulder, Colorado; Leo, deceased 1938; Florence, Mrs. H. R. Bauder of Green Bay, Wisconsin; Andrew of Waterloo, Nebraska.

With the exception of three years spent in Wisconsin, the family home has been, until 1940, in Blair.

Until Mrs. Clausen moved to the Immanuel Deaconess Home for the Aged in the winter of 1938, she was active in the W.R.C., the Hillside Hustlers Club and the Danish Ladies Aid in her community. December 14, 1941, her 70th birthday, she joined the Immanuel Deaconess Church at Omaha.

For the past three years she has enjoyed fairly good health, but since the first of the year she has been bedfast. A wide circle of friends, both young and old, followed her wherever she went.

Mourning her death are Mrs. Henricksen and daughters, Ann, Ellen and Elaine; Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Johnson and sons, Jack, Willis and Paul; Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Bauder; Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Phelan and children, Yleen and Jimmy, and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Clausen.
