Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Carlson, 79-year-old Herman woman who died at the Fremont Hospital Saturday evening, following a two-day illness, were held at the Herman Methodist Church on Wednesday afternoon; burial was made at the Herman cemetery with Rev. A.W. Clarke officiating.

As Anna Marie Christensen, the deceased was born in Denmark on June 21, 1862; she came to America in 1888, and on November 27 was married to Andrew Hansen at Tekamah. They resided in Burt County until 1919 when they went to Colorado; Mr. Hansen died in 1932. Ten children were born to this union, two sons dying in infancy and three others passing on later.

In 1936, she was married to Tinning Carlson of Herman, who died in 1939. During the past few years, Mrs. Carlson had made her home on the Herman Christ farm, southwest of Herman.

Survivors are two sons, Thorvald Hansen of California, Emil Hansen of Culver, Colorado; and three daughters, Mrs. Ella Truhlsen of Chicago, Mrs. Martha Hill of Fruta, California; and Mrs. Roy Hart of Herman. Two brothers, H.H. Christensen of Blair, and C.H. Christensen of Denmark, also survive.

Note: she is buried beside the father of her children and the tombstone reads A. Marie Hansen
