MARY WAHLSTROM RITES TUESDAY

Mary Rodman Wahlstrom was born January 12, 1873 in Jackson County, Indiana, and when ten years old the family moved to Blair where she attended the Blair schools.

She was a member of the Baptist Church in which she was a tireless worker and held most of the offices in the different aid organizations of the church.

On January 7th, 1918 she was married to Theodore Wahlstrom and shortly afterwards they moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa where they have since resided and where she died Nov. 2, 1946.

She had been in poor health for a number of years. Four years ago she suffered a paralytic stroke which left her an invalid. A third stroke two weeks ago was the immediate cause of her death. She is survived by her husband, one sister, Mrs. Hettie R. McCann of Omaha, one brother, Frank Rodman of Blair and five nieces and two nephews.

Funeral services were held from the Baptist church in Blair on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. D. D. Kennedy officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.

Mrs. Wahlstrom was a woman of ability and energy. In order to appreciate her real worth it was necessary to know her. To her friends she was always loyal and always ready to lend assistance where it was needed, and she had many calls for assistance to which she answered cheerfully, always living up to the teachings of her church which she loved deeply. So ends a life well spent and a life that was lived according to her ideals of right. Her duties were well done and never shirked.
