LOU ALLEN RITES SUNDAY

Lou Allen, a former resident and a native of this county, died last Friday, October 4th, in the hospital at Norfolk after a long illness.

He had been away from Washington county for years, but his body was brought to Blair for interment under the auspices of the Fick Funeral Home with the Rev D. D. Kennedy giving the funeral discourse.

He leaves to mourn him his six children and their families who grieve deeply his death.

The children are Mrs. Floyd Nottleman, Mrs. Dennis Saltzman, Mrs. John Kramer and Charles, and Emmett and Wayne Allen.

FORMER RESIDENT OF HERMAN, 69, BURIED

James Lewis Allen, 69, native and former resident of Herman, died Friday at Norfolk. The body was brought to Blair, where services were held Sunday afternoon at the Fick Funeral Home, burial following in the Herman cemetery.

Mr. Allen, son of James and Nancy Allen, was a cousin of Mrs. Fannie McKercher, Mrs. Carrie Parrish and Elzy Triplett of Herman.
