MRS. BECKLUN PASSED AWAY EARLY TODAY

Blair Woman, 34, Succumbs To Lingering Illness

After untold suffering covering a period exceeding two years, the end came for Mrs. John Becklun and the sympathy of the entire community goes out to the husband and the two children, John Jay and Joan Kay, six year old twins.

Deceased was born in Melbourne, Iowa August 2nd, 1912 where the family resided for a number of years. On June 18, 1838 she was married to John Becklun, and in August of 1938 they moved to Blair.

For a time they resided on the farm, but later purchased a home in Blair where they have since resided.

A short time ago her mother died, but the father survives as does three brothers and these, with the grief-stricken husband and two children, are left to mourn her death.

She was a woman of ability and a wonderful wife and mother and she will be missed by a large group of close friends who knew her and respected her for her fine qualities.

Funeral services in charge of the Fick Funeral Home will be held next Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Methodist church, and interment will be made in the Blair cemetery.
