PIONEER SETTLER DIED SATURDAY

Mrs. Nellie Grant Kline Ailes, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Kline, was born in Omaha on June 29th, 1864. At the age of two years the family moved to Cuming City. This was when Nebraska was a territory.

She grew to womanhood in Cuming City where her father became prominent in business circles and acquired a large acreage of land.

She was married to Hugh B. Ailes of Blair on April 24th, 1895. Five children were born to them. Three of these are still living. Her husband passed away on January 31, 1928. At the time of her death she was living with a daughter in Oak Park, Illinois. At her death she was 81 years, 11 months and 2 days old.

Funeral services were held from the local Baptist church at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, and interment was made in the Cuming City cemetery.
