HARLAN CHRISTIANSEN PASSES AWAY

Harland Lloyd Christiansen was born March 27, 1906 at Herman, Nebraska, son of W. H. Christiansen and wife, Petra. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church at Orum, Nebraska.

As a young man, Mr. Christiansen began working on the home farm. On October 8, 1927 he was united in marriage to Lillie Hansen of Herman, and together they made their home on the farm near Spiker, Nebraska where they lived and worked for ten years. To them was born one child, Betty Lou.

Because of failing health, the deceased left the farm and took such work as he was able to do in Fremont, Nebraska. Last November his health failed so much that he became bedfast. The end came May 11th.

Besides his wife and daughter, he leaves to mourn his passing his mother, Mrs. Petra Christiansen, Fremont, Nebraska; two sisters, Mrs. J. C. Larson, Fremont; and Mrs. J. A. Jespersen, Herman; two brothers, C. W. Christiansen, Blair; and Harry Christiansen, Denver, Colorado.

Funeral services were held last Monday afternoon from the Baptist Church in Herman with the Rev. Adolph Kloth, pastor of the First Lutheran Church, Fremont, officiating.
