MRS. GEO. PICKELL DIES SUDDENLY

Mrs. George Pickell, who suffered an attack of pneumonia several months ago, and who never fully recovered, died suddenly last Saturday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dale Pollard of Alliance, Nebraska.

As Louella short, deceased was born in Salem, Indiana on January 30, 1867, and when about eleven years of age the family came by covered wagon to Blair where they made their permanent home. She attended the Blair schools, and in May of 1892 the was married to George Pickell.

They continued to make Blair their home and three children, one son and two daughters, were born and reared here. They are George of Chicago; Miss Mary, a teacher in St. Paul, Minnesota; and Mrs. Dale Pollard of Alliance. Six grandchildren also survive: George, Marian and Ronald Pickell of Chicago; Joan, Royce and Patricia Pollard of Alliance; and one great grandchild, Stephanie Pickell of Chicago. These of the immediate family grieve their great loss.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. from the baptist church with Rev. D. D. Kennedy officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
