MRS. ELLA MEHRENS SUCCUMBED MAR. 25

Mrs. Ella M. Mehrens of West Nebraska street died at her home on Monday, March 25th. Deceased was born in Harrison county, Iowa on Sept. 30, 1876. In her early childhood the family moved to Cass county, Nebraska where she attended school at Weeping Water and at Murray, Nebraska. The family in 1895 moved to Blair and here on Mar. 31, 1898 she was married to Maurice Mehrens.

Four children were born to them, two sons and two daughters, all living. Blair has been the home of the family since their marriage. The husband died on September 15, 1944. For years Mrs. Mehrens has been a patient sufferer and her death was not unexpected.

The surviving children are Sterling, an invalid at home; Mrs. Maude G. West of Ft. Worth, Texas; Milford G. Mehrens of Kansas City, Mo.; and Mrs. Helen T. Fraley of Blair. One sister, Mrs. Clara McCall and one brother, George Reed, both of Portland, Oregon, also survive.

Funeral services with Rev. Lindenmeyer officiating were held Wednesday, March 27, at 2:00 p.m., and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
