MRS. JOHN NIBBE BURIED SUNDAY

ARLINGTON - Last rites for Mrs. John Nibbe were held here on Sunday afternoon at the First Methodist church with the Rev. A. W. Clarke officiating.

As Amelia Reckmeyer, eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Reckmeyer, early pioneers, she was born on November 14, 1870, on a farm near here. Practically all her life had been spent in Arlington. For a number of years she was a member of the Reckmeyer Hardware Co., and worked in the store up to her marriage to John Nibbe on January 1, 1914.

She was a member of the Methodist church and was identified with all church activities as long as her health permitted.

A quartette composed of Mrs. Otto Renard, Mrs. Dora Ludwig, Therlo Reckmeyer and Allen W. Laaker sang two numbers, with Mrs. Allen W. Laaker as accompanist.

Pallbearers were Tom Dowell, Rhea Gilfry, Clyde Cook, Leo Weber, Harold Weber and George Schoettger.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Nibbe is survived by five stepsons, Arthur of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Benjamin of Berkely, California; William of Denver, Colorado; Edgar of Springfield, Illinois; and Albert of this place. Also surviving are one brother, William A. Reckmeyer of this place and one sister, Mrs. Charlotte Dorbecker of Omaha; and seven grandchildren and a number of other relatives.

Burial was made in the Arlington cemetery.
