FRITZ SCHROEDER DIED WEDNESDAY

Fritz Schroeder, farmer in the southeastern part of Washington County for the past 43 years, died in Omaha late Tuesday night. He would have been 89 years old May 23rd.

Born in Spitzberg, Germany in 1857, he came to this country in 1880. After living at Newton, Kansas for two years, he moved to Louisville, Nebraska where he resided for twenty years prior to coming to the Rockport District. He was married January 12, 1895 to Matilda Komrofski of Omaha. They celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in January, 1945.

A lifelong member of the Lutheran Church, he leaves to mourn his passing his wife, four sons, four daughters and twenty five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at the Ponca Lutheran Church.
