#1-23 Dec., 1908 - The Pilot - Elizabeth “Bessie” (Bradley) Fox

Miss Flora Bradley received the sad news last Thursday morning that her sister, Mrs. Sydney Fox, died at 10 o’clock at her home in Red Lodge, Mont. Wednesday night. She was taken seriously ill with typhoid fever and Mrs. Bradley went out to help care for her. She improved some and they believed the danger point was past, but death came from the exhaustion following the fever, which had been extremely high from the very first. The funeral was held on Friday, and interment made in the cemetery at Red Lodge. Miss Bessie Bradley was born at Cheshire, Conn. Feb. 15, 1877, and was therefore not yet 32 years of age. She came to this county with her parents in 1883 and lived on a farm north of town until after Mr. Bradley’s death in 1898 when they moved to this city. Miss Bessie was an apt scholar and began teaching when she was but sixteen years old and taught until she was married to Mr. Sydney Fox on April 4th, 1906. They have made their home in Red Lodge, Mont. since that time, Mr. Fox being a district judge in the district embracing Red Lodge. Besides her husband, she leaves a little daughter about two years old, mother, five sisters and one brother.
