#1-5 Feb., 1908 - The Blair Democrat - Mrs. Thomas Bailey

Mrs. Thomas Bailey, aged 81 years, passed away early Friday morning at her home near Fletcher. Mrs. Bailey had lived there for about thirty eight years. She leaves two brothers and a sister and three adopted children to mourn her death.

#2-5 Feb., 1908 - The Pilot - Ruth W. (Fletcher) Bailey

Mrs. Thos. B. Bailey, whose death occurred last Friday, Jan. 31st, 1908, was born in Searsmont, Me. July 10th, 1826. Her maiden name was Ruth W. Fletcher and she was married to Mr. Bailey Sept. 21st, 1845. They came to this county in 1859 and were therefore among the very earliest settlers in these parts. In 1871 they moved on a farm out at Fletcher where Mr. Bailey died in May, 1902. She leaves three adopted daughters, Mrs. Frank Erickson of Fletcher, Mrs. Emma Cram of Walthill, Neb. and Miss May Keen who was living at home. At her request prayer was held at the house and the body was interred in the New England cemetery, after which the funeral service was held in the Baptist church in Herman, of which she was a faithful member.
