#1-1 Jan., 1908 - The Pilot - Sophia A. (Johnson) Petersen

Mrs. John F. Petersen died at 11 o’clock Friday morning of tuberculosis and the funeral was held at St. Mary’s Episcopal church at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon. Sophia A. Johnson was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. O. Johnson of Oakland, Neb. and was born Feb. 3rd, 1877. She was married to Mr. Petersen May 11th, 1900 and leaves two children, Ernest, aged 4 years, and Cora, aged 2 years, who will miss the loving ministrations that only a mother can give.

MRS. PETERSEN DIES

Mrs. J. F. Petersen died at the home of Mr. Petersen’s parents in this city last Friday from consumption. She had been suffering with the disease for the past two years and was brought here from Valentine where she had lived with her husband for some time.

Deceased was thirty years old the 3rd of last February and was married to John F. Petersen in this city eight years ago. She was the mother of two children, Cora, aged two years and Ernest, aged four.

The funeral was held Sunday.
