#1-6 Dec., 1905 - Blair Courier - Malinda J. (Palmer) Ryan

Dr W. H. Palmer received word Monday of the death of his sister, Mrs. M. J Ryan, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Stough in Spokane, Wash. The body is expected to arrive here this evening, and if so the funeral will be held at the Palmer home at 10:30 tomorrow. Mrs. Ryan was 77 years of age in October, having survived her husband by about five years Mr. Ryan conducted a boot and shoe store here for a number of years, and is well remembered by many Blair people. Dr. A. J. Ryan, a son, was also located here for a time, but has been in York for a number of years. Two other sons, Charles and Benjamin, live in Seattle, one of whom will accompany the body to this city. Another son, W. L., lives at Birmington, Wash., and another, M. F., in Omaha. Mrs. C. L. Carrigan of Garner, Iowa is a sister of the deceased.

#2-6 Dec., 1905 - The Pilot - Malinda J. (Palmer) Ryan

The news of the death of Mrs. Malinda J. Ryan reached Blair from Spokane, Washington Saturday. For a number of years she has been a sufferer from rheumatism and rheumatism is supposed to have been the cause of death. The body was shipped from Spokane Sunday afternoon, and is expected to arrive in Blair Thursday morning, in which case the funeral will be held sometime Thursday. Should it not arrive till the afternoon train, then the funeral will be held Friday. Particulars may be found out Thursday by telephoning Palmer & Taylor or The Pilot office. Mrs. Ryan, a sister of Dr. Palmer, lived in Blair for many years, but some ten years ago removed with her husband to Ponca where he died five years ago. Since the time she has lived with her children, but most of it with her daughter, Mrs. Anna Stout at Spokane. She was about 75 years of age at the time of her death. Either Ben or Charley Ryan will accompany the body through.

#3-14 Dec., 1905 - The Blair Democrat - Malinda J. (Palmer) Ryan

The remains of Malinda J. Palmer, a sister of Dr. W. H. Palmer, who died at Seattle on the second of this month, arrived in Blair last Thursday morning, and were laid to rest in the Blair cemetery. Deceased was born at Eggerstown, Md. in 1828, was married to B. W. Ryan in 1861, and came to Blair in 1880 with her husband and children where she resided until about eight years ago when she went to Ponca. About three years ago she left Ponca to make her home with a daughter in Seattle. Deceased leaves five sons and one daughter, the husband and father having died here several years ago.
