#1-21 June, 1905 - The Pilot - Dorothea Shields

Mrs. Louis Shields died this morning at the Shields home on Colfax street. Mrs. Shields had been sick for about a year, and the case had been serious since February. She was born in 1839 and of the thirteen children born to her, eight survive, four boys and four girls. The funeral services will be held in Omaha at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. A. Williams.

#2-22 June, 1905 - The Blair Democrat - Mrs. Louis Shields

Mrs. L. Shields died at the home of her son, Herman, in this city early yesterday morning from dropsy. Deceased was born in Prussia, Germany in 1869, and was married in America to Louis Shields. The remains were taken to Omaha today where they will be interred Saturday. Four boys and four girls survive her.
