#1-11 Apr., 1906 - The Blair Courier - Felix N. Thompson

Felix N. Thompson died very suddenly last Tuesday evening, April 3rd, of heart failure at the home of his sister, Mrs. J. Peak. Mr. Thompson went upstairs to go to bed and suddenly the room seemed close and he cried for air. He went downstairs and out on the porch, but got no relief from suffocation. He then went in the house and lay down on the lounge where he expired in a few minutes. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Hamm of the Christian church at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, and interment made in the Blair cemetery. Mr. Thompson was born in Bono, Indiana 55 years ago and came to this county with his parents in 1865. He was never married, but leaves four sisters and three brothers as follows: Charles R. of Omaha, Everett L. of Rock Island, Ill., Emory O. of Clinton, Ia., Mrs. N. Gould of Idaho, Mrs. Wm. Sanders and Mrs. J. E. Kelly of Omaha and Mrs. J. Peak of Blair township.

#2-12 Apr., 1906 - The Blair Democrat - Felix Nolan Thompson

Felix Nolan Thompson died of heart disease Tuesday evening, April 3, 1906, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Peak, who lives about one and a half miles west of the city. Deceased was born in Indiana March 8, 1851, but has been a resident in this state for 40 years. He was the oldest of eight children, four boys and four girls, and the first to pass away. The body was laid to rest beside those of his mother and father in the Blair Cemetery. The funeral services held at the Church of Christ Friday at 2:30 p.m. were conducted by F. Grant Hamm, the pastor.
