#1-4 Apr., 1906 - The Blair Courier - Frances Matthews

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Matthews of DeSoto, lost their little daughter, Frances, two and one half years old of meningitis Monday. Interment was made in the Blair cemetery Tuesday, Rev. A. G. Axtell of the Congregational church of this city officiating. Another child, a son about five years of age, is very sick with the same disease, but is somewhat improved this morning.

#2-5 Apr., 1906 - The Blair Democrat - Frances Mathews

Frances, the little two and one half year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mathews who live down near DeSoto, died Monday of cerebro-spinal meningitis and the funeral was held the following day, and interment made in the Blair cemetery, Rev. A. G. Axtell officiating. Another child, about five years old was very ill with the same disease, but there is hope of his recovery. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of all in their sad affliction.
