The death of G. A. Solvicken was a shock to this neighborhood. He was an industrious and kind neighbor - but for one fault. His age was 61 years and he leaves a widow in fair circumstances. The funeral was from Rose Hill church and Rev. J. W. Larkin of Blair officiated.

G. A. Solvicken, an old resident of Grant township, died a few days ago as reported, from drinking too many different kinds of medicines and powerful drinks. His capacity was great, but he met his Waterloo when he tackled a goblet of patent medicine.
