Graveside services were Mon., Nov. 11 at the Kennard Cemetery for Elmer Japp, 80 who died Nov. 8, 1996 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Elmer Japp was born Sept. 20, 1916 in Kennard to August and Emma Schmuck Japp.

He had been a resident of the Tekamah Nursing Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

He is survived by three brothers, Lester and Wilmer, both of Kennard; August, Jr., of Grand Island, Nebr., and three sisters, Ruby Windgate and Carrie Ensign, both of Crystal Lake, Ill. and Elsie Thies of Carthage, Mo.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
