Mrs. Brigitta Becklun, who died at the home of her son at South Blair Thursday night of last week, was born in Sweden Oct. 7, 1832 and was over 70 years of age. The family came to Illinois in 1869, lived in Iowa ten years and in 1880 bought the home farm in Grant Tp. where the father died three years ago and where she made many friends who sympathize with the family in the loss of a loving mother. The children are John Becklun of Blair, Mrs. Julia Flannigan of Burt county and Miss Bessie Becklun of this city. Services were at Rose Hill church by Rev. Marsh of Blair Episcopal church, and the burial was in the family lot in Rose Hill Cemetery.
