Died Thursday, Sept. 29th, at his home, Niels Petersen, and was laid to rest in the Danish Lutheran Cemetery on Sunday, Oct. 2. Deceased was born in Denmark and was past 64 years of age. In January, 1870 he married Miss Annie Mary Anderson and 12 children were born to them. They came to America in 1870, residing eight years in New Jersey before coming to Nebraska. He served nine months in the war between Germany and Denmark and spent four years in Greenland at mining. A widow, eight children, three brothers and one sister mourn his death. Rasmus Peterson resides in Kearney county, Ola in Omaha and H. Peter Peterson, who has been living with deceased, is single. Jens C. is married, Niels and Willie are single and Carl is married. Mrs. Annie Jensen, a married daughter, lives in Council Bluffs, Misses Clara and Lida Peterson reside at home.

They have lived on the farm five miles west of Blair 26 years and his death is mourned by a large circle of friends.
