M. Grabbe died at his farm four miles southwest of town at 2 o’clock last Saturday morning of senile decay. He was 78 years of age and leaves a wife and three children, Fred, Henry and Anna. The funeral was held at the German church in this city on Monday, and interment made in the Blair cemetery.

Marx Grabbe, a respected old citizen who died at his home in the Sutherland neighborhood last Saturday was buried from Blair Lutheran church on last Monday at 2 p.m., Rev. Frese of Omaha officiating, and many mourners followed the remains to Blair Cemetery. The deceased was born in Schenfeldt, Holstein August 29, 1826, and lacked two days of being 78 years old. He came to America in May, 1869 and was married to Miss Lena Tefel at Ft. Calhoun. The widow, one daughter, two sons and other relatives are bereft by his decease.
