Henry Meier, Sr. died at his home three miles north of Telbasta in Sheridan township last Monday evening. It is supposed his sudden death was caused by injuries received from being dragged by a horse. He leaves a wife and two sons, one of whom has served on the county board. He settled on his homestead about 34 years ago and was an industrious good citizen who will be missed in that community. He was born in Lippe, Germany in 1835 and came to America in 1867.
