Almira B. (Marston) Farnsworth

25 Feb., 1904 - Blair Republican and the Pilot dated 29 Feb., 1904 - Almira Farnsworth

Died in Sioux City on Friday of last week at the home of her son, Att’y. W. F. Farnsworth, Mrs. Almira B., wife of Capt. T. H. Farnsworth, aged past 81 years. Death was caused by softening of the brain. The funeral was on Monday following. Deceased was born in Sedgwick, Maine, and after her marriage, she made her home at Rockland, Me. About 36 years ago the family came to this county and were among the first settlers of Sheridan township, but finally sold their farm and for over 22 years Mr. and Mrs. Farnsworth were highly respected residents of Blair. She has three sisters living - two in Maine and one in Nevada, and this is the first death in the family in 48 years. Besides a husband, six children mourn the death of an excellent mother. George resides a Rockport, Maine; E. T. Farnsworth is a member of the Omaha bar; Frank is manager for the Edwards & Bradford Company at Albion, Neb.; and W. F. is a prominent attorney of Sioux City; Mrs. Wm. Hall resides in this city and Mrs. Edwards is a resident of David City. The funeral took place last Monday. In their great bereavement the family have the sincere condolence of a large circle of friends in this city.
