Peter Olaf Simonsen passed away December 17 at the Blair Convalescent Home where he had been a patient since November 16th. He was born on the Island of Falster, Denmark on March 1st, 1867 and came to America about 1890, settling first in Michigan, but later he moved to Omaha where he remained for a number of years. Later he lived near Herman and Craig, coming from the latter place to Blair about twenty five years ago. His wife preceded him in death in 1932.

Mr. Simonsen became a resident of the Good Shepherd Home in March of 1950, but because of failing health was taken to the Blair Hospital in September of this year. On November 15th he was removed to the Blair Convalescent Home where he passed away.

He is survived by one son, Morris Simonsen of Blair. The funeral services will be held this Thursday, December 20 at the Campbell Mortuary with Rev. H. C. Jorgensen officiating, and interment will be made in the Blair cemetery under the supervision of the Campbell Mortuary.
