CHRIS PAULSEN BURIED TUESDAY

Chris H. Paulsen, a long time resident of Blair and Washington County, died at the Fremont Lutheran Home where he was taken following a heart attack and other complications.

Deceased was born in Germany in 1864 where he grew to manhood and was married to Miss Margaretha Schroeder in 1892. Shortly following their marriage, they came to America and from 1892 to 1894 they farmed near Calhoun. In 1894 they purchased a farm three and one half miles southwest of Blair where they lived until 1921 when they retired and moved to Blair.

Three children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Paulsen. One died in infancy and a son, Charles, Died in 1924. The wife died in 1941 and the father has made his home with the daughter, Mrs. Henry Wulbern, who resides on the home farm, until his last illness.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Trinity Lutheran church of which he was a member, with Rev. Frese officiating, and interment under the supervision of the Campbell Mortuary was made in the Blair cemetery.

The pallbearers, all lifetime friends of the deceased, were Carl Kolterman, Ernest Lang, Otto Ruwe, Fred Peterson, Henry Arp and A. Schulz.
