MRS. CARL LINDSTROM RITES WEDNESDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Carl Lindstrom of Fremont were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock from the Fremont Methodist church, and interment was made in the Fremont Cemetery.

Mrs. Lindstrom, formerly Julia Meservey, was a former Blair woman where for a long term of years she taught in the Blair schools. She had a sister, Emma, who was a music teacher and a brother, Arthur Meservey, who graduated from the Blair schools and later took up dentistry which he followed after going to Los Angeles, California.

A stepsister, Miss Edna Davis, who will be well remembered, taught in the Blair Schools for years and endeared herself to Blair people.

The Meservey family were pioneers here, the father settling in the northwestern part of the county.

In 1904 Miss Julia was married to Carl Lindstrom, who was freight agent here. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Fremont where they established the Lindstrom Inn which they operated. The husband and sister, Emma, both passed away and Mrs. Lindstrom continued on. Old age overtook her and five months ago Dr. Arthur Meservey came from California to take her home with him, but just at this time she met with an accident which prevented her from being moved and which later caused her death. Thus ends a life made beautiful by her sincere Christian spirit which brought love and respect from all who knew her.
