JOE WANEK DIED NOV. 3

Joseph Mathew Wanek of Alliance, Nebraska, age 89, passed away Saturday morning, November 3rd, at the home of Mrs. Jens Anderson in Blair.

His body, in charge of the Bendorf Funeral Home, was shipped to Hemingford, Nebraska Saturday evening and burial was made in Hemingford on November 7th.

Mr. Wanek, a farmer all his life, was also active in civic affairs in Alliance where he served as County Commissioner, Justice of the Peace and also taught in schools in his earlier years.

He is survived by three sons, Louis and Amas of Hemingford and Oscar of Story, Wyoming, and two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Bartos of Lusk, Wyoming and Mrs. Lilly Kennedy of Alliance. Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy, Mrs. Bartos and Louis Wanek were in Blair with their father at his death.

In ill health, Mr. Wanek had been under the care of Mrs. Anderson for the past three and a half years.
