GEORGE SMITH RITES MONDAY

Born In Germany In 1868. To America When Three

A prayer service in the Henry Truhlsen Funeral Home for George Smith and graveside services were held Monday forenoon at ten forty five with Rev. Guy Emmert in charge.

Casket bearers were Dave Rutledge, Fred Robertson, Taylor French and Frank Eriksen.

Interment was in the Herman cemetery.

George Smith was born in Germany in 1868, and came with his parents to the United States when three years old. His parents settled in Blair where he grew to manhood. He was married in Blair. Mr. and Mrs. Smith made their home in Herman for many years. Mrs. Smith passed away some years ago. Mr. Smith lived the last few months in a rest home in Oakland, Nebraska where he passed away October 27, 1951. A stepdaughter, Mrs. Mabel Jones and granddaughter, Mrs. Hyle Burke, both of Omaha survive. Also two great grandsons, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
