FORMER DOCTOR AT HERMAN DIES AT 97

Long Time Physician in Herman Settled in Powell, Wyoming About 1915

Dr. P. J. Clark, well known in this county and especially in Herman where he held an extensive practice for years, died at his home north of Powell, Wyoming at 5:45 Wednesday evening, October 10th. He had been ill from arteriole sclerosis for the past six weeks. For the past several years he had lost his eye sight and hearing. He gave up his practice of medicine five years ago after having practiced for 62 years.

The funeral for this pioneer Powell physician was held last Friday at 2 p.m. from the Powell Presbyterian church. Mrs. Lawrence Hanson of Minnesota, a daughter, was the only member of the family from a distance to attend the funeral.

Dr. Clark was a native of Missouri where he grew to manhood. He attended the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, graduating in the class of 1883.

After graduation he located in Oakland, Nebraska where he practiced medicine for a number of years, later moving to Herman and in 1915 to Powell, Wyoming where he practiced medicine for 30 years.

One half sister of Albany, Missouri survives him.

Dr. Clark was married in 1889 to Mary Altah Norton of Blair. To this union two daughters, Nina Altah, wife of Lawrence Hansen of Brained, Minnesota and Gladys Frances, deceased wife of Samuel Cuffern. The first Mrs. Clark died in 1898.

In December, 1902 he was married to Sarah Anne Anderson of Blair. Two children were born to them, Samuel Wynn Clark of Powell and Marian Elizabeth, deceased.

Besides these already mentioned the widow survives.
