CHARLES J. CALDWELL DIES IN ARIZONA

Charles J. Caldwell of Tempe, Arizona died at his home there on Sunday, October 7th. He was a brother of Mrs. Ernest Carson of West South Street. Deceased had visited his sister last summer, but on his return home he suffered a stroke which was the attributing cause of his death.

He was born on the Caldwell farm, now owned by Otto Voss, and here he grew to manhood, getting his early education in the district school. He was 70 years of age at his death.

After his marriage, he moved to Omaha and for twenty years was on the Omaha police force. After his retirement, he moved to Arizona where he made his home until his death.

The survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Hugh Mulloy, Eugene, Oregon; Mrs. Martin Svien, Tempe; sons, James R., Corona, California; Chas. G., Portland, Oregon and Clifford G. of Atkinson, Nebraska and a sister, Mrs. Ernest Carson of Blair.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in Tempe.
