HERMAN M. MAGILL DIES OF HEART ATTACK

Herman M. Magill, well known in this county, died Saturday afternoon at his home in Tekamah as the result of a heart attack. At his death he was 75 years of age.

He was born in Washington County on October 27, 1875, and after finishing the district school, he attended the Fremont Normal. All his life he had lived in Burt and Washington counties where he was a successful farmer. He had retired from his farm activities and was making his home in Tekamah.

He was married January 1, 1900 to Della Oberst of Burt County. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge. He is survived by one son, Kenneth, who is an assistant to Gen. Lewis B. Hershey in Washington, D.C.; two daughters, Mrs. Marian Wood of New Orleans and Mrs. Erma Ovenden of Seattle; four sisters, Mrs. Jennie Rogers, Fremont; Mrs. Lottie Longwell of Bancroft; Mrs. Della Spiker of Denver; and Mrs. Mabel Hue of Craig and two brothers, William and Alfred, both of Ponca, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 pm.
