Michael A. Timm, 54

Michael A. Timm, 54, of Nickerson, died Sunday, July 18, 2010, at the A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.

A memorial service was held Wednesday at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Fremont. Interment will be in the Telbasta Cemetery at a later date.

Michael A. "Mike" Timm was born April 28, 1956, at Fremont to August and Barbra (Hofeldt) Timm. He grew up in Fremont and graduated from Fremont High School in 1974.

After graduation, he moved near Nickerson, where he farmed. In 1992, he moved to Arlington where he owned and operated Eagles Hideaway Bar and Grill until 1996. He moved back to Nickerson and farmed while also working for Fontanelle Hybrids until 2008. He continued to farm and work parttime at Kasper Tree Farm near Mead.

He was involved with 4-H for several years. He also loved to fish, raise and sell show cattle, and enjoyed raising crops in his garden. He enjoyed planting flowers around his house, going to garage sales and bargain shopping.

He is survived by his special friend, Dee Jarosz; sons and daughters-in-law, Bucky and Amanda Timm of Arlington, Dusty and Charissa Timm of West Des Moines, Iowa, Cory Timm of Omaha, and stepson, Josh Jarosz of Fremont; stepdaughters and spouses, Jessie Hart, Stacey and Brent Huffman, all of Fremont, and Ashley and Coday Keeler of Scribner; parents, August and Barbra Timm of Nickerson; brothers, Ted, Doug and Alan Timm, all of Nickerson; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren.

Moser Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
