MRS. N. G. JENSEN BURIED MONDAY

Mrs. Niels Gorm Jensen, long time Blair resident, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jay Larsen, in Louisville, Nebraska last Friday, August 10th. Death was attributed to complications arising out of old age.

Mrs. Jensen was born February 9, 1865 in Silkeborg, Denmark. She grew to womanhood in her native country and was united in marriage to Niels Gorm Jensen in Denmark on December 17th, 1889. In the spring of 1890 Mr. and Mrs. Jensen came to America and settled on a farm southeast of Blair. This same farm is now owned by their son, James Jensen.

Mr. and Mrs. Jensen retired from active farming and moved to Blair in 1922. Eight years later, in 1930, Mr. Jensen passed away, but for many years Mrs. Jensen continued her home here. For the past year she has lived with her daughter in Louisville.

Funeral services were held at the First Lutheran Church in Blair Monday afternoon, August 13th, with the Rev. H. C. Jorgensen in charge. Burial was made in the Blair cemetery with the Campbell Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Jensen is survived by all six of her children. These are: Mrs. Jay Larson of Louisville; Mrs. Hans C. Hansen of Hemingford, Nebraska; Mrs. Nels Hansen of Harlingen, Texas; James Jensen of Blair; Mrs. William Koenig of Spencer, Iowa; and Clarence Jensen of Blair. There are also 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
