Funeral For Mrs. Carter

Mrs. Minerva Jane Carter, 82, widow of Mr. M. Charles Carter and longtime Washington County resident, died at the Blair hospital a week after being taken there.

Born at Monroe County, Iowa, on March 8, 1870, she is one of eleven children. She had come to Herman as a child and had since resided in this county. She and Mr. Carter were married October 13, 1892, and he died November 1923.

Surviving Mrs. Carter are three sons, Charles Jacob Carter who is a policeman at Casper, Wyoming, Rev. W. Dudley Carter, a Baptist minister at Rupert, Idaho, and W. Douglas Carter of Blair; one daughter Mrs. Arlo Jones or Francis of Mesa, Arizona; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Maggie Lowe of Herman; three brothers, Ollie H. Lowe of Arlington, William N. Lowe of Eugene, Oregon, and Mr. John Lowe of Waterloo, Iowa.
