Faithful Member of Congregational Church Red Cross Helper

Funeral services for Mrs. Ollie Lowe were held at the Wm. Reckmeyer and son Funeral Home and at the Congregational Church Thursday, July 5. Rev. E. Merle Adams officiated. Therlo Reckmeyer sang “The Lord’s Prayer” accompanied by Mrs. Chas. House at the organ. Pallbearers were Lee Weber, C. A. Menking, A. A. Halbeck, Tom Dowell, James Hall and Farnum Franzenburg. Fannie J. Cain was born September 21, 1871 in Hinckley, Illinois, and passed away at her home in Arlington after an illness of three and one half years. In 1894 she was married to Ollie H. Lowe in Sandwich, Illinois. She has lived in Iowa and Nebraska most of her life. Mrs. Lowe was a faithful member of the Congregational church and also a hard worker in the Red Cross during World War I and II. She spent many hours in knitting sweaters and making other things that were needed in the army. She also wrote to many of the boys. Surviving are her husband and daughter, Mrs. Harold Weber of Arlington, a grandson, Donald Weber and sister, Mrs. Maggie Cain Lowe, both of Omaha.
