LUELLA GREGOIRE BURIED IN CRAIG

Luella Viola (Fratt) Gregoire, mother of Mrs. R. H. Thurber of Blair, passed away in the home of her son-in-law on College Road on Monday evening, July 9, after an illness of many years. She was born in Grant County, Wisconsin on March 29, 1861, moved with her parents to Iowa in 1874, and was married to Edward Allen Gregoire at Avoca, Iowa on February 2, 1876. She has lived on farms at Blair, Pender, Lyons and Craig, returning to Blair in 1946. Since the death of her husband in 1914 she has lived with the Thurbers. She is survived by four daughters, Dora of Blair; Edna of Elmhurst, Illinois; Myrtle of Omaha, Nebraska; and Mable of Omaha; also by one brother and one sister, 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

The funeral service was held on Wednesday of this week at Craig, Nebraska, with burial in the Craig cemetery. Rev. H. C. Jorgensen of First Lutheran Church was in charge of the services.
