LOUIE MATHIESEN RITES WEDNESDAY

Louie Mathieson passed away in the Blair hospital Sunday, March 25, after an acute illness of three weeks. He had been suffering from heart trouble for several years.

Mr. Mathiesen was born near Irvington in Douglas County on July 27, 1897, the son of Mr. ad Mrs, Hans Mathieson. When he was 4 years old his parents moved to the Glendale school district and here he grew to manhood.

On September 3, 1912, he was united in marriage with Miss Laura Davis, and the couple became the parents of two children. There are Lloyd and Eugene Mathieson.

The first five years of the Mathiesens married life were spent on the farm in Cuming City township, now occupied by Hans Mathiesen, from which place they moved to the home farm in the Glendale district. In April, 1946 they moved to Blair, residing at 508 west Lincoln street.

Mr. Marthiesen is survived by his wife, by the two sons, Lloyd and Eugene, by three grandsons, two brothers, Thomas Mathieson of Walthill and Hans Mathieson of Blair and by four sisters, Mrs. Anna Fryman, Mrs. Glenn Wilson and Mrs. Caesar Kegler of Blair and Mrs. Harry Nelson of Herman.

Funeral services were held at the First Lutheran Church Wednesday with the Rev. H. C. Jorgensen officiating. Bendorf Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was made in the Blair cemetery.
