ANNA P. SIMONSEN DIED MONDAY

Mrs. Anna P. Simonsen of West Washington street died Monday morning, March 19, after an illness of several months. She was born at Hampton, Nebraska on February 1, 1880, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Niels Bertelsen.

On February 1, 1900 she was united in marriage with A. Peter Sorensen. The couple lived at Sutton and Verona, Nebraska before coming to Blair in June of 1922. The husband passed away here on July 19, 1924.

Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Simonsen, three of whom died in infancy. Those who survive are Dr. Marie Simonsen of Oakland, California; Mrs. Wesley Andersen of Rutland, Iowa; Miss Eleanora Simonsen of Omaha; Herman Simonsen of Roseburg, Oregon; and Helena Simonsen at home. Other survivors are a brother, Mr. Gerhardt Bertelsen, well known here, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 22, at 2 p.m from the home and at 2:30 from the First Lutheran church with Rev. H. C. Jorgensen giving the funeral oration, and interment under the supervision of the Campbell Mortuary, was made in the Blair cemetery.
