George Fox and wife brought the body of Robert Carter here from Fort Morgan, Colorado, last Wednesday, he having died suddenly at George's home of a hemorrhage incident of tuberculosis on Monday of last week. The funeral was held at the T.M. Carter home at 10 o'clock Friday morning, Rev. C. M. Foreman officiating. The services at the cemetery were conducted by the Masonic Lodge of which he was a member.

Robert Carter was born on the old Nathan Carter farm located just south of the present city limits on the Kennard road, January 6, 1886, and therefore was past 49 years of age. He was never married. He leaves one brother, George, who is conductor on the passenger train between Omaha and Sioux City, also four sisters, Mrs. Ellen Foss of Alliance, Nebraska, Mrs. Harry Yeoman and Mrs. Will Campbell of Helena, Montana, and Mrs. Will Hinkle of Omaha.

George Fox, who brought the body here, is the son of Grandma Fox whom old timers remember so well and so affectionately.

R.M. CARTER DIES AT FT. MORGAN, COLO., SUNDAY

Word was received in Blair on Monday of the death of Robert M. Carter at Ft. Morgan, Colo. He had been at sanitarium in Denver for the past two years and went up to Ft. Morgan a week ago where he died of tuberculosis. Bob was taken with a bad cold a little over two years ago which developed into tuberculosis and went to Colorado in hopes of benefitting his health, but there seemed to be to help for him and he passed quietly away at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Fox, Sunday.

Robert M. Carter was born near the townsite of Blair on Jan. 6, 1868, and had made Blair his home most of his life. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. L Nathan Carter. He leaves to mourn his demise one brother, George, a passenger conductor of the M. & O. road, and four sisters, Mrs. Ellen Foss, Mrs. Ann Hinkel and Miss Catherine Yoeman, all of Omaha, and Mrs. Maude Campbell of Helena, Montana. The body arrived in Blair Wednesday morning, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Fox.
