THADIUS SPIKER PASSES AWAY

Thadius C. Spiker, a former resident and a native of this county died at his home in Sidney, Nebraska on February 23rd after an illness of about a year.

At his death, he was 81 years old and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Spiker, pioneers of this county. He was married to Miss Lulu Johnson of Blair, and to them six children were born. She passed away in 1920, and in 1922 he again married, this time to Ida Alexander who died about a year ago.

Of the six children, three survive. Besides these, he leaves three brothers, Sam of Denver, Maney of Portland, Oregon and Gene of Ft. Collins, Colorado and one sister, Mabel of Polk, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held last Monday, Feb. 26 at Sidney, and burial was made at Sidney. Relatives from Blair attending the funeral were Mr. Addie Spiker, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Spiker and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Taylor.
