MRS. CHRISTINA FLOCK DIED SUNDAY

Mrs. Christina Flock of Albion, Nebraska died last Sunday in an Omaha hospital at the age of 71 years. She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Fred Miska of Kennard, Mrs. Mary Alderman of Wapato, Washington and Mrs. Blanche Riech of Albiion.

For some time Mrs. Flock has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Miska of Kennard. Funeral rites and burial were in Albion.

Obit of Christina Alice Flock

Christina Alice Flock, daughter of Lorenzo and Mary Smith, was born in Linn county, Missouri on October 1, 1879 and passed away on February 1, 1951 at the age of 71 years, four months and seven days. Her early childhood was spent in Missouri. In her teens the family moved to Nemaha, Nebraska. Her childhood life, as the daughter of a Civil War veteran, whose life has been impaired by wounds sustained in the war, was a continual struggle for existence in which the children had to take a large part. In 1895, she was united in marriage to Archibald Bradley. To this union two daughters were born. On the 27th days of September, 1900, she was united in marriage to Hiram Stewart Flock at Rockport, Mo. To this union five children were born. In 1907, the family moved to Boon county, Nebraska where they resided for eight years. In 1916, they moved to Garfield county. Shortly after her second husband's death, she moved back to Boone county where she was residing at the time of her illness and death. She was taken to an Omaha hospital where she passed away after a month of suffering. In her youth, she joined the Methodist church, being baptized in the Missouri River. While making her home in Albion, she attended the Church of God. She was very devoted to her family, always willing to lend a helping hand. Her parents, seven brothers and one sister, her husband, a daughter, Rosa and a son John all preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing, three daughters, Mrs. Blanche Rieck of Albion, Mrs. Mary Alderman of Wapato, Wash., and Mrs. Gladys Miska of Kennard, Nebraska and two sons, William of Ericson, Nebraska and Louis of Kennard, Nebraska. Other survivors include 28 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and a number of nephews, nieces and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 11, at the Church of God in Albion. The Rev. E. McCullogh Officiated. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
