HENRY MENNINGS RITES JANUARY 30

Henry Mennings, a resident of Ft. Calhoun for the past six years, passed away Tuesday, January 16th. Deceased was born in Germany March 10, 1898, and when six years of age came with his parents to this country and settled first at Beatrice and later moved to Sterling.

In 1925 he was married to Clara Remers and they made their home in Sterling, then Bancroft, and six years ago they moved to Ft. Calhoun.

He is survived by his wife and four brothers: Diedrich, George, Louis and Remer and one sister, Mrs. Rilka Jordan.

Funeral services were held last Friday at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Omaha at 10:00 a.m. and at Sterling Lutheran t 2:30 p.m., and interment was made in the church cemetery at Sterling.
